Old schoolhouse

The house used to be the village school, a role which its location fronting the village square fits it for. Unusually for a house in a village, it is completely detached and has a good-sized garden, with a gate to the street which can be widened to give off-road parking. The building is on two floors, currently with separate access. The ground floor comprises two large connecting rooms with high ceilings. Each one has a door to the street. The upper floor, once the schoolroom, is a single large space, reached up an outside staircase from the garden. It has a small balcony overlooking the square. Should any buyer be seeking a business opportunity, the village-square location offers the possibility turn the house into a traditional coffee shop, with living accommodation on the upper floor. At present there is no such facility in the centre of Kokkini. Upgrading of the village square is in the pipeline, with paving and a central fountain feature, so that whatever a new owner plans - large home or business - the surroundings will be very attractive. Kokkini boasts a very central location less than five minutes drive from Ermones Beach on the west coast and even closer to the golf course. An hourly bus service runs to Corfu Town, and the Glyfada Beach bus runs past the village.
